4 Story Buildings and 10 Foot Setbacks
Despite the contention made by a founding member, I did not change the allowance of building height from 2 story to 4 story in the mixed use town center, nor did I change the setbacks to allow for 10 foot setbacks in the town center. That actually happened under Mayor Ralph McGill's (a founding member) leadership in 2015, before I was on the board. For clarity, in 2014, the planning commission members voted unanimously to support Mayor McGill's efforts. Betty Dick (another founding member) was a member of the MPC and recommended those changes. At the time of recommendation by the MPC, I was the most junior member on the planning commission.
