Rumor Has It - We moved the town center
Rumor has it that the town elected officials moved the town center from the Ford property to the Biddle property. This rumor is false.
In 2007-2008 timeframe, a developer introduced the idea of
building a mixed use development on the front portion of Mayor Eddy Ford’s
property calling that area the town center.
In 2012, the residents and town staff worked together to update the land use plan and EXPANDED the town center area to include the area generally bound by Kingston Pike from Concord Road to Jamestowne Boulevard and Campbell Station Road from Concord Road to Jamestowne Boulevard. Biddle Farms - Farragut Town Center is a development in Farragut’s town center. The front portion of Mayor Ford's property has been and continues to be in Farragut's town center.
For clarity, the area of the map in purple is the Mixed Use Town Center.
