Farragut contributes millions to public schools in Farragut!

FUN FACT - The total funds generated in the Town of Farragut that support Knox County Schools on an annual basis is more than  $21 million. The Farragut community financially supports Knox County Schools through Knox County property taxes, the town's local option sales tax, the mixed drink tax and Town of Farragut grants.  Also, the Town of Farragut community supports our public schools in Farragut through the volunteer efforts of the Education Relations Committee, the Introduction to Farragut class and the Public Works department. Knox County Property Taxes – In FY2022, Knox County collected $31,763,000 in property taxes from properties in Farragut.  Knox County distributes property tax in their budget to three funds: 42% to the General Fund, 38% to the General Purpose School Fund and 20% to the Debt Service Fund.  In FY 2022,  $12,070,000 of the Knox County property taxes collected from property owners in Farragut went to Knox County’s General Purpose Sch...
